Buddha Leaf

Togog Suyasa carves the albesia sculpture by hand with admirable realism, offering his art in reverence to the spiritual teacher. Suyasa finishes the sculpture with painted details and gilt applications. According to scripture, Buddha achieved enlightenment while meditating beneath the pipal tree, which became known as a bodhi, or 'enlightened' tree.
