Fresh and Simple

From the Mexican state of Chiapas comes this handmade beaded amber necklace by Juan Garcia. The simplicity of the design includes a pair of larger beads in darker tones of brown and honey alternating with a trio of small beads in lighter shades. Amber, fossilized tree resin that is millions of years old, varies in tone and often contains minuscule inclusions of insects and plants. Thus the beads tend to be quite different from each other, making amber jewelry unique.
